The new-looked New Orleans Pelicans looked pretty good on opening night, topping the Orlando Magic, 101-84, on Tuesday in New Orleans.

Budding superstar Anthony Davis poured in 26 points while corralling 17 rebounds. He narrowly missed a triple-double after recording nine blocks.

However, new Pelican and Glens Falls native Jimmer Fredette struggled in his first game with his new team.

Fredette, who is hoping New Orleans is the place where he can see more steady playing time, played 18 minutes. That's a good sign. What's not is that Jimmer was 0-6 from the field and 0-3 from three-point range. His only points were two free throws.

The Pelicans play the Mavericks on Saturday.
