The last two years, the Capital Region has had excitement surrounding the Tewaaraton Award.

Two years ago, UAlbany standouts Lyle and Miles Thompson split the award, and last year, Lyle himself won the award.

But each of the last two years, Niskayuna grad Kayla Treanor has been up for the award. And the Syracuse star is up for the award again this year.

Treanor led the Orange to the NCAA Tournament again this season, scoring 50 goals. She led the team in goals and assists (40) for a total of 90 points.

Syracuse went 19-6 this season. Could the third time be the charm for Treanor?
