Last night Kevin Love's impressive streak was snapped.  You may not know what I’m talking about because it got no coverage! Since he was drafted in 2008, Kevin Love has made an immediate impact.  Despite being on a pretty bad team, Love has continued the dominance that he showed glimpses of in his time at UCLA.  Last night Kevin Love had a streak snapped that only one person in the history of the NBA has equaled.  Kevin Love had racked up 53 consecutive double-doubles.  It's the first time since Nov. 19 that Love has failed to register a double-double.  NOVEMBER 19th!!! That’s insane!  His 53-game streak was a franchise record and the longest in the NBA since Elvin Hayes did it in 55 consecutive games in 1973-74.

Last night’s loss to the Golden State Warriors marked the end of Love’s streak.  With 4:04 left in the game, he checked out with 6 points and 12 boards, never to return, snapping the streak.  For the amount of hard work that goes into a streak like this, Kevin Love got essentially none for doing something that hasn’t been done in almost 40 years.  Well done, Kevin.  We here at 104.5 The Team salute you.
