Kevin Harvick would be the first to tell you that he hasn’t exactly been blessed with great luck throughout the entire NASCAR season this year.

NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick currently finds himself in 11th place in the Sprint Cup standings.  He has no chance of winning a championship this year.  However, Harvick turned around a very odd beginning at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday when his car was hit by a skydiver to finish 9th after starting 23rd in the AAA Texas 500.

Plenty of things go wrong with cars; tire problems, engine failure, mechanical issues, running out of gas, etc.  Having your car damaged by a skydiver is definitely a new one though.  Give Harvick and his team credit.  They found a way to turn a very odd beginning into a top-10 finish.
