The Knicks found a sure cure to their one-game losing streak, hammering the Detroit Pistons at MSG Saturday night 101-79. The night was better with the Milwaukee Bucks getting bounced at home by the Pacers opening back up the 1.5-game lead NY has over Milwaukee for the final playoff spot in the East.

Tyson Chandler owned the glass as the Knicks owned the game. Chandler pulled in 17 boards and poured in 15 points.

The Knicks led 49-37 at the break and never looked back. Amare Stoudemire led a packed scoring sheet for NY with 17 points. Chandler and Carmelo Anthony knocked down 15 apiece and Jereny Lin chipped in 13.

The win didn't come without a price as Amare left with a sore back and Lin had to have his sore knee attended to. The Knicks said afterward Lin could have returned but were doubtful on Stoudemire.

The Pistons tied the game at 31 with just over 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter before the Knicks put them away. Detroit's offense managed just 6 points the remainder of the half. NY swept the 3 game series set from Woeful Detroit, now just 16-32.

With the Knicks winning and the Bucks losing at home to Indiana the Knicks lead was back up to 1.5 games after a game was shaved Friday night with NY losing big at Toronto. It also sets up a huge game Monday night at the Garden when the Bucks come in for a visit. The Knicks are 0-2 vs Scott Skiles Bucks so far this year.
