LeBron James Signs 4-Year Deal with Lakers

LeBron James is taking his talents to Los Angeles.

According to a story run on ESPN, James is making his move to the West Coast. The Lakers have been on James's short list from the beginning and the move was confirmed late this evening.

James has been a staple in the Eastern Conference since he came into the league and this move out west represents not just a change in the teams that will be contending for a title next year, but a major shift to L.A., which seems like it will immediately become a contender in a stacked Western Conference.

Meanwhile, who will be back to challenge the Celtics in the East next season? We'll see how the rest of free agency and the offseason sorts out, but right now it looks difficult to imagine a league there much of the drama isn't played out in the Western Conference.
