These are not my final takes and certainly not my Locks. Now that week four of the NFL season is over let's take a look at week five. What I do every Tuesday is go through the games and write down my first reaction, then Thursday I go back through the games and see what has changed before I make my Locks. Here's my first thoughts for this week's games.

Rams at Seahawks -1.5

I like the Seahawks a lot but I think this is a bad week to play the Rams. The Rams were just upset by Tampa Bay and even though the Buccaneers are a better team lead by Bruce Ariens and Todd Bowles they aren’t as good as the Rams. The pressure from the Seahawks front four will keep this close but the Rams will spend all week being pumped up by Sean McVay.

Rams +1.5

Cardinals at Bengals -4

This game could be an absolute mess. I feel like the Bengals have a real direction just missing the players to follow it. I really worry Kliff Kingsbury needs a Wade Phillips type to help him take the Cardinals to the next level.

Bengals -4

Ravens -3 at Steelers

I’m super chalky this week. Ravens need a bounce back game and the Steelers are poised to be victimized.

Ravens -3

Bears -4.5 At Raiders (In London)

Bears are the superior team and Khalil Mack is a MONSTER. I expect him to be next level motivated for this game. I also believe that weird things happen when you go across the pond. This is basically a coin toss to me. I think Gruden will pull out all the stops in this one.

Raiders +4.5 (not super confident)

Jags at Panthers -3.5

Minshew Mania...CATCH IT!!!!

Jags +3.5

Vikings -5.5 at Giants

Danny Dimes is the truth and the Giants defense is good enough to stop Kirk Cousins and a banged up Dalvin Cook. Factor in the Golden Tate debut and I’ll ride with yah!

Giants +5.5

Patriots -15.5 At Redskins

Wow 15.5 is a huge number but I really see no reason to back the Skins.

Pats -15.5

Jets at Eagles -14

Jets getting two touchdowns and Quinnen Williams is returning. I also think we might see Sam Darnold. Jump on this now.

Jets +14

Buccs at Saints -3.5

This all comes down to one question for me...Can Jameis Winston beat the Saints? The Saints defense will stop the run so Winston will need to be good enough to get the ball to Evans and Godwin and not turn it over. I can’t believe I’m backing the Crab thief.

Buccs +3.5

Falcons at Texans -5

I really thought the Falcons would be a force this season but so far they look like someone clipped their wings. Texans are frustrated and DeSean Watson and DeAndre Hopkins will exploit the Falcons secondary.

Texans -5

Bills at Titans -3

This is a tough one for me. The Titans are coming off a huge win and Josh Allen may not play. Here’s the thing, when playing solid defenses the Titans struggle. We know the Bills can straight up play D and Barkley will have Gore and Singletary in the backfield.

Bills +3

Broncos at Chargers -6.5

AFC West battle here. The Chiefs look like a runaway favorite to win the West and the Raiders are good enough to at least make the Chargers work for the number two spot. I think the Chargers will look to throw a knockout punch here and end a reeling Broncos season.

Chargers -6.5

Packers at Cowboys -3

This might be the best matchup of the week. Both teams coming off of disappointing losses and looking to rebound. I like both teams but Zeke’s gonna eat!

Cowboys -3

Colts at Chiefs -10.5

Chiefs win but Colts keep it close.

Colts +10.5

Browns at 49ers -3.5

Kyle Shannahan has had two weeks to game plan for Baker Mayfield and the Browns defense.

49ers -3.5
