Longtime Saratoga County Resident ‘Betty White’ Finally Finds Furever Home
There is some very good news coming from the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. Long-time resident and a very good girl, Betty White, has finally been adopted.
Betty White Was Brought to the Forefront Because of Timing
When her namesake passed away, there was a challenge that was put out to donate to local animal shelters. But the Saratoga County Animal Shelter put one of their favorites in the spotlight. The Betty White challenge was created locally to get this pit bull mix adopted, again.
Her Story Was a Sad One
Betty White was in the shelter Saratoga County Animal Shelter the first time for over a year. It was 382 days to be exact and they were hoping it wouldn't take that long to find her the next family to make them complete. They are happy to say she has finally found her forever home.
The Saratoga County Animal Shelter is Very Thankful
Saturday on the Saratoga County Animal Shelter Facebook page they thanked their amazing volunteers and staff along with everyone in the media and beyond for highlighting ten-year-old Betty White. They said, in part:
...big thanks to Steve Caporizzo's Pet Connection, Friends of Saratoga County Animal Shelter, Mohawk Chevrolet, Mohawk Honda, WTEN, and Spectrum News 1 Capital Region for all their help promoting Betty. And we can't help but thank the family of her prior owner for continuing to send her favorite toys, treats, and blankets to support her and make her stay here more comfortable while she was waiting to find her new family!
Betty, we will miss you so much but we know you're going to love your new home! To her new owners: a huge congratulations- you have found yourselves the best dog! Keep us updated!
