Over the last few weeks, more and more current NFL players have become open about their opinions regarding the arrest of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, who has been charged with the murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. However, let this be an example of what not to do as a form of "public protest."

I can understand trying to keep an open mind about a friend and a former teammate, but this is just ridiculous - who in their right mind would wear a hat in support of a man who is behind bars on the suspicion of murdering someone? Steelers center Maurkice has since posted a public apology on Twitter, while Dolphins second-year player Mike has not released any statement yet.
