Minor League Team Has Rude Welcoming Planned for ValleyCats

A minor league affiliation with the Houston Astros is big enough for opponents to target the Tri-City ValleyCats this coming season. When the short-season Single A team based in the Capital Region travels to Staten Island this summer, the Yankees' affiliate will be ready with a creative giveaway.

Tuesday, on Twitter, the Staten Island Yankees released some of their scheduled giveaways and September 3rd should be a fan favorite for anyone who roots for the pinstripes.

Shots are sure to be taken at all teams affiliated with the Astros following the sign-stealing scandal and subsequent suspensions and firings. The big league insults might be saved for Houston itself, but even the ValleyCats are feeling some of the playful fun to be had at their expense.
