Commissioner Rob Manfred needed to make a big statement with his punishment of the Houston Astros, and he did. You can’t electronically steal signs and think it’s okay or to think you weren’t going to get caught. I give Astros owner Jim Crane credit for taking it one step further by firing Manager AJ Hinch and GM Jeff Lunow after MLB was suspending them for a year.
