There was lots of great playoff action this past weekend both in the NBA and NHL.

So how are the top playoff seeds doing? Did the Knicks, Rangers, and Sabres record victories?

We'll begin with the regional teams as the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, and Buffalo Sabres were all in action in their respective playoff series.

The New York Knicks began their playoff series with the Boston Celtics on Sunday at the TD Bank Garden in Boston. The Celtics, thanks to Ray Allen's clutch 3-pointer with just a few seconds left in the game was the difference as Boston won this one 87-85. Amare Stoudemire recorded a double-double scoring 28 points along with 11 rebounds for the Knicks. Ray Allen led the way for the Celtics scoring 24 points en route to their victory in game one of their seven game series.

The Rangers were able to "cap-italize" on Sunday as they defeat the Caps in game 3 of their series by a score of 3-2. Brandon Dubinsky netted the game winner with 1:39 remaining in the game. Washington still leads the series two games to one.

The Buffalo Sabres were able to win one of their two games in Philadelphia on Thursday but fell to the Flyers Saturday 5-4. The series is tied at a game a piece as the series shifts to Buffalo.
