One of the most notorious characters in the history of the National Basketball Association is set to host a Halloween event in Upstate New York.

That character is none other than Dennis Rodman, NBA Hall-of-Fame forward and five-time NBA champion. Here's what you need to know about this upcoming event.

Rodman will host the “Vampires & Vixens Halloween Masquerade” on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

The casino began promoting the event on their Facebook page late last week.

The party will take place from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on the Casino Mezzanine. The casino adds the following information:

Compete for fabulous prizes in our costume contest, and dance the night away to the mesmerizing beats of not one, but two live DJs. Indulge in delectable food, special crafted cocktails, and sinful sweet treats (available for purchase).

The event promises a night of frights, outlandish sights, and delicious bites, according to the Facebook post.

Tickets to the event cost $75, and all tickets are general admission. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older, and all who attend will be asked to provide a valid ID. The casino also stated that no weapons, costume-related or otherwise, will be permitted inside the party.

A New Jersey native, Rodman played 911 games in the NBA across 14 seasons. He played for five teams during his career, spending seven seasons with the team that drafted him, the Detroit Pistons.

He also played for the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks. His NBA.com biography refers to him as arguably the best rebounding forward in NBA history.

He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
