New York State Has the Best Cupcakes In the Country! Have You Tried Them?
What comes to mind when you think of Woodstock, New York? This Ulster County destination is known for it's rich history as an artist community with the likes of Van Morrison, David Bowie and Jimi Hendrix once calling the tiny town home.
Did you know that Woodstock is also known for the best cupcakes in the country?

Recently I found myself on a daytrip to Woodstock when I saw a sign for Peace, Love & Cupcakes that read "Best Cake in the Country"! It wasn't enough that Food Network made the declaration. I had to find out for myself!
My girlfriend got 'The Jerry Garcia' and I chose the cake that got all the attention from the television show, a decadent chocolate layer cake. Not only did it melt in my mouth but they made it easy to eat with mini spoons!
Janice Kollar, owner of Peace, Love & Cupcakes was on Season 1 of Cake Competition on Food Network. According to the shows website, her winning dish went on to spend a year on the T.G.I. Friday's menu.
The award winning Peace, Love & Cupcakes is located, on Cupcake Lane, across the street from Bob Dylan's former home on the legendary Tinker Street. Kollar isn't a one-time winner either. She was a finalist in the Pillsbury Bake-Off, won the First Place Crisco Blue Ribbon and winner of the Food Network's title for "Best Cake in the Country"!
The cupcakes we enjoyed were awesome and we loved the way Peace, Love and Cupcakes embraced the "Woodstock Vibe" by naming cakes after Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Joe Cocker and the "Woodstock Tie-Dye". Let's take a look around.
