Demolition crews have been hard at work in Albany since last week, tearing down the Tobin's First Prize Center building on Exchange Street in Albany, and the drone video and photos of their first few days on the job are oddly satisfying.

Abandoned since 1981, the old Tobin's First Prize meatpacking plant has been rotting and decaying for years, becoming a favorite for adventurous YouTubers who have found some pretty interesting things inside this old Albany eyesore.

The demolition is scheduled to continue through March 7, but so far crews appear to have it mostly gutted at this point.

What roads will be closed during the demolition?

Exchange Street from Russell Road to Everett Road is currently closed during the demolition of the former Tobin’s First Prize plant according to News Channel 13.

Once it's torn down, builders hope that the area will become a more functional neighborhood, featuring residential living, retail, recreational, and commercial space sometime in the next year or so according to the source.

WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.
