The Detroit Tigers and free agent first baseman Prince Fielder have come to terms on a deal worth $214 Million for the next 9 years.

The Tigers just lost DH Victor Martinez for the year due to injury so this is a perfect replacement. Last year Fielder hit .299 with 38 Home Runs and 120 RBI's helping the Milwaukee Brewers win their first division title since 1982.  Lifetime Prince has a career .282 batting average with 230 Home Runs and 656 RBIs. The Rangers and Nationals were both interested in the services of Fielder but Texas announced early today they were out of the running.

This is not the first time a Fielder has worn a Tigers uniform, Prince's dad Cecil Fielder spent a good portion of the 90's playing in Detroit.
