Quarterfinals Set For FCS Playoffs

Although the UAlbany Great Danes football team did not qualify for the FCS playoffs, the postseason tournament has continued on this month. Following this weekend's results, the quarterfinals are now officially set. This year's national champion at the FCS level will be crowned on January 7th at noon on ESPN.

San Diego at #1 North Dakota State at Fargo, ND (North Dakota won 45-7)

Villanova at #8 South Dakota State at Brookings, SD (South Dakota State 10-7, North Dakota State will now play South Dakota State in quarterfinals)

Chattanooga at #5 Sam Houston State at Huntsville, Texas (Sam Houston State won 41-36)

New Hampshire at #4 James Madison  at Harrisonburg, Va. (James Madison won 55-22 will play Sam Houston State in quarterfinals)

Youngstown State at #3 Jacksonville State at Jacksonville, Ala (Youngstown State won 40-24)

Wofford at #6 The Citadel at Charleston, SC (Wofford won 17-3, will play Youngstown State in quarterfinals)

Richmond at #7 North Dakota at Grand Forks (Richmond won 27-24)

Central Arkansas at #2 Eastern Washington at Cheney, WA (Eastern Washington won 31-14, will play Richmond in quarterfinals)
