Alabama Wide Receiver Amari Cooper has been drafted by the Oakland Raiders at pick No.4.

Cooper had a terrific junior season at Alabama. After catching 124 balls for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns, he won the Biletnikoff Award for the nation’s best wide receiver, was a unanimous All-American, and finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting behind Oregon’s Marcus Mariota and Wisconsin’s Melvin Gordon.

A native of Miami, Florida, Cooper played at Miami Northwestern High School, where he was one of Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s favorite targets. Out of high school he had notable offers from Florida State, Miami, and Ohio State, but chose Alabama. He played a major part in helping Alabama win the 2013 BCS National Championship.

Regarded as the most polished wide receiver in the draft, Cooper makes hay with crisp route running, reliable hands, a high football IQ and outstanding work ethic.

The 2015 NFL Draft this year was held in Chicago, Illinois. It's the first time that the event was not at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The new environment brought the majority of the first round draft picks, but not the top two, Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston.
