There are a number of different ways to propose to your girlfriend.

You could go the restaurant route and have the waiter slip the ring into the dessert or the champagne - probably not the pasta dish.

You could do it privately.

You could, if you have the emotional maturity of the teenager, use your favorite team's jumbotron.
