Rock Icon Graces New York’s Radio City Music Hall For Celebration
Growing up near New York City, performers that played Radio City Music Hall were given instant prestige. My first rock music show at the historic venue was October 29, 1980. The Grateful Dead were on their historic 8-night tour in New York City prior to 8 nights in San Francisco, from which they made two live albums, "Reckoning" and "Dead Set."

Each of these special shows in 1980 featured three sets, an acoustic set followed by their traditional two electrics. Four of my friends went. We were 16. Almost 42 years later, two of us returned this weekend to see Bob Weir & the Wolf Brothers celebrate the 50th anniversary of Weir's first solo album "Ace." It was so much fun, I'd figured I'd share it with you guys!

Bob Weir & The Wolf Brothers came to New York's Radio City Music Hall to celebrate 50 years since the release of his solo "Ace" album, which included such Grateful Dead staples as Playin' In The Band, Looks Like Rain and Mexicali Blues. The two night run April 2nd and 3rd featured special guests and sold out performances.
