Ronald McDonald House Hockey Tourney Organizer a Hometown Hero
County Waste has partnered with us to honor those in our communities who are truly making a difference.
All throughout 2015, we will be recognizing one “hero” per month based on their inspirational feats, work helping their neighbors and everyday passion.
This month’s hero is John Doolittle of Averill Park, the organizer of the annual Ronald McDonald House Capital Cup Hockey Tournament in Troy. Doolittle, whose son benefitted from the Ronald McDonald House, handles all aspects of the tournament, including registering the 250+ players who participate.
Doolittle works tirelessly to make this a great event each year, and throughout the past six years has helped raise more than $218,000 for the Ronald McDonald House.
