January Hometown Hero Serves The Catskills And Beyond
104.5 The Team's January Hometown Hero was slightly taken aback when we called the other morning. Moments after identifying ourselves as local radio hosts, the first thing she responded with was 'How can I help you?'
It was quite fitting that she asked us that because Patty Dushane of Catskill has been asking people that question her entire life. Patty, a retired teachers assistant from the Catskill School District for 30 years has devoted her entire retirement to helping out her community and beyond. She created the Matthew 25 Food Pantry that gives clothes, food and essential items to those in need.
Patty Dushane is the epitome of a hometown hero. She's dedicated, selfless, hard-working, generous, and kind. It's our honor to announce her as January's Hometown Hero.
County Waste has partnered with us to honor those in our communities who are truly making a difference.
