It pays to have bounties put on players in the NFL, but not in the good way. Wednesday, the NFL suspended New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton for an entire year effective April 1st.

Along with Payton, Saints assistant coach Joe Vitt  was suspended six games and fined $100,000, former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has been suspended indefinitely and  Saints GM Mickey Loomis is  suspended for the first eight regular-season games. The Saints Franchise was hit hard too as it has been fined $500,000 and will lose  two second-round draft picks for the next two seasons. This is all a result of a bounty program conducted by the team during the 2009-11 seasons that targeted opposing players.

The Saints organization now have to find a replacement for Payton and Loomis while their suspensions are being served.
