The Aaron Hernandez legal saga may have the NFL going to some colorful lengths to checking a player’s character before the draft.

Hernandez, who is looking at murder charges, is of course decked out in ink and authorities looked at them to see whether any of them had any gang significance.

Of course, whether this is a good idea remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, though: with the amount of players sporting tattoos, teams may not finish looking at all of them until wild card weekend.
