Should This Madison Bumgarner Story Shock Anyone?

Madison Bumgarner is basically the "Paul Bunyan" of Major League Baseball. His post season performances are legendary and his overall demeanor is that of someone that screams MANLY. So it's far less of a shock than it probably should be when I found out he's been competing in Rodeo competitions under the name Mason Saunders.

Turns out he's pretty good too! In a story from The Athletic we find out not only does Bumgarner compete, but he wins too. Under the name Mason Saunders, Bumgarner won $26,560 in a team-roping competition in December. It will be very interesting to see how his new team the Arizona Diamondbacks who just signed Bumgarner to a 5 year $85 million deal reacts.
