Still a Great Scorer: Jimmer Drops 75 in China
Jimmer Fredette was already on the books with the second-highest scoring single game in Chinese Basketball Association history with a 73-point performance two years ago, but on Sunday the Glens Falls native was even better.
In a back and forth affair with Beikong, Jimmer dropped an absurd 75 points and a perhaps even more ridiculous 40 in the fourth quarter alone. That final number is a CBA record for a single quarter.
Let this serve as a reminder that the former college player of the year and NBA first round pick is as talented as ever at scoring. Jimmer got to 75 in an efficient way too. He was 24-34 from the floor, 7-10 from 3-point range and he added in eight rebounds and seven assists to boot.
Defense has been a knock on Jimmer, but in a league that plays very little defense, the BYU grad does that arguably more than anyone else. With four steals on top of scoring 75 Sunday, Jimmer leads the CBA in steals with nearly four per game.
