Stillwater Makes Program History with First Super Bowl Title

Ask any of the Stillwater players or coaches and they would have told you there was a very different feel in the hallways of their school and in the restaurants and stores or anywhere else someone might bring up conversation around football in their town.

The history at stake on Friday night in the Class C Super Bowl was not lost on the group of teenagers. They knew a trip to the title game for the Warriors was rare enough and that a title had always eluded the program.

But this Stillwater team was different. Head coach Ian Godfrey had his squad undefeated as they faced perennial power Cambridge-Salem, the defending Class C champs.
