The quarterfinal round of the Big East tournament had some very exciting match-ups, and even some upsets.

#2 Syracuse 58 , Uconn 55

One of the classic rivalries in the Big East, Syracuse and UConn was another exciting battle between these two.  Thanks to a late Syracuse rally, they get past the Huskies 58-55.  18 points for Dion Waiters off the 'Cuse bench.  UConn big man Andre Drummond had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Louisville 84, #9 Marquette 71

Marquette's 26 turnovers helped fuel Louisville to a 84-71 win.  The number nine team in the country has now been ousted from the tourny early.  Louisville was led by Kyle Kuric, who had 20 points.  18 points and 6 assists for Peyton Siva.  Marquette had some big scoring from Darius Johnson-Odom who put up 23 points.

Cincinnati 72, #14 Georgetown 70

A double overtime affair between the Hoyas and Bearcats, but it's Cincinnati that comes out on top, 72-70.  Yancy gates put up 23 points for Cincinnati.  Three other Bearcats were in double figures.  Georgetown were kept in the game by Henry Sims, who had 22 points and grabbed 15 points.  A big win for Cincinnati.

#23 Notre Dame 57, South Florida 53

Another overtime thriller.  South Florida put up quite a fight against the Irish, but Notre Dame was able to outlast the Bulls in OT.  Scott Martin added 10 points for Notre Dame, while Jerian Grant and Pat Connaughton each had 12 points in that win.  South Florida were led by Victor Rudd Jr. who had 16 points and seven rebounds.
