I have always thought that you can tell a lot about a Major League Baseball team by June 1st.  That's the big day - as it's about a third of the way through the season. Back in late March, I made my predictions for the A.L. East.  Let's see how I'm doing after 2 months of play.

The Yankees got a much needed walk-off victory on Tuesday night as they defeated the Blue Jays 5-4 at Yankee Stadium. Mark Teixeira delivered the game-winning single in the bottom of the ninth past the first basemen and into right field for the victory. So why was this victory a significant one for the Yanks?

Today, we had a caller on "Sound-off with Sinkoff" ask who I thought the best catcher in the American League East was. Although I might seem like a homer, I'm going with the Orioles' Matt Wieters.

Let's face it - wearing a baseball hat is cool - sometimes it's even trendy.   Unless of course you're wearing the Toronto Blue Jays cap.
