Led by a career high tying 30 points by Evan Hymes the Siena Saints almost pulled off a big upset Friday night at the Times Union Center but in the end too much Juan'ya Green helped Niagara escape with a 78-69 win. Green just missed a triple double finishing with 10 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds...

The final wasn't close. The game was never close. And it appears Siena is no place near turning around this dismal season. The Saints were mugged out of the gate and got trashed by Canisius Saturday afternoon, 76-64. It was a close game-for the first 13 points as the Golden Griffins led 7-6...

Well it was nice while it lasted. It just didn't last long enough. Siena's 2 game winning streak was no match for Niagara Thursday night as they were flogged 87-64. A close game at half became a blowout in the 2nd half. Niagara led 40-34 at the half and then pulled away in the last 20 minutes 47-30...

I am guessing the Siena Saints like this winning thing. What was foreign to them just a week ago, is getting normal after Siena topped St. Peters Sunday at the TU center 66-53. O.D. Anosike who has been up and down recently was up for Siena on this day, scoring 20 points including a rare solid day from the free throw line where he hit 12 of 17...

Perhaps a parade down Washington Avenue is in order? Maybe a shout out from Governor Cuomo might be in order? Dare we say can you make it two straight? Regardless of any jokes or snide comments, this much is true: the Siena Saints won a ballgame at the Times Union Center Friday night and snapped their 11 game losing streak...

Things have gone from very bad to extremely ugly and quickly for the Siena Saints. Sunday they were no match for a team that itself had lost five straight. The Rider Broncs welcomed the Saints with open arms and then quickly closed them in a bear hug in a 72-53 beat down on home court...

We have seen the landscape of college athletics change dramatically the last two years. Those profound changes for the most part involved the "big boys" and the large conferences. Well now it has come to the mid majors. Butler has already joined the Atlantic 10 so this isn't a first but hometown Siena will be part of the reshuffled MAAC conference next season...
