Open Tryouts

The Albany Empire roster is coming together nicely. Not only did they bring back star quarterback Tommy Grady and sign the AFL's top receiver Darius Prince as well as a bunch of talent with NFL, CFL, or XFL experience but now they've added some local flavor. Head Coach Tom Menas promised he'd sign at least one player from the open tryouts on Saturday at the Afrim's Sports Park in Colonie and he more than made good on that promise. Three of the more than twenty athletes that tried out for the Empire signed with the team.

The Albany Empire have their quarterback or should I say they have him back? Head Coach of the Empire Tom Menas joined Levack and Bahl to kick off today's show and break the news that Tommy Grady will be back under center for the reigning AFL and hopefully future NAL champion Albany Empire.

Last time the Albany Empire took the field they won the Arena Bowl Championship, the next time they take the field you could be on the team! The Empire's open tryouts are November 2nd. Are you the missing piece that could help the Empire repeat as champions?

The Albany Empire were a great success in year one and year two is on it's way. Your chance to measure yourself against the best and possibly make the team is this Saturday! Below is all the details from the team that you need to know.

The announcement has been made, the Albany Arena Football Team is the Empire and the first game will be April 14th. Now there's a few simple things to do before the Empire take the field. Like get the uniforms, come up with a game plan and oh yeah we need a team! Step one will be open tryouts this Saturday!
