CBS Broadcaster and former coach Bill Raferty is known for his trademark catchphrase "Onions" while calling college basketball games. Probably the one many remember the most is the call from the classic double overtime game between Siena and Ohio State duing the 2009 NCAA tournament when Siena's Ronald Moore nailed a huge three pointer.
Freshman Davonte Beard has informed Siena head coach Mitch Buonaguro and director of athletics John D’Argenio of his desire to transfer to a school closer to his Akron, Ohio home. Beard has filed paperwork with the athletic department’s compliance office, and the College is processing his request.
