Going into Saturday nights race in Richmond, there were some teams trying to pull of a miracle win to get into the chase and some trying to not falter and hold on to their spots.

As the race progressed, things got heated and as those things usually go, Tony Stewart was in the middle of it. He was "involved" in a wreck with less than 50 laps to go that took out Ryan Newman and David Ragan. With those drivers done for the night, Newmans hopes of making the chase were gone while Ragans misfortunes helped secure a spot for Chris Buescher.

On the final restart, Kasey Kahne was in 5th needing a win to get in, but it was not to be for the #5 team as pole sitter Denny Hamlin led them to the green and took off bringing the #11 Toyota to victory lane.

So, it's now chase time and we have 16 drivers running for the Sprint Cup Championship. Those cars points are reset and the field will be parred down to 12 following the race at Dover in 3 weeks. The drivers and their points are:
