Jason Brinkman is the Vice President and General Manager of the Albany Dutchmen who is just about ready to get started with a new baseball season in the collegiate league. They have a new home field for the team which is Dutchmen Field at Keenholts Park which is just a beautiful facility. Located in Guilderland, it is a hidden gem. It is tucked away in the back location but just a beautiful complex. It has all the amenities you can ask for and they take such good care of that facility. The playing surface up there is incredible and is a great place for the Albany Dutchmen to play this summer.

Jason joined the program to discuss the upcoming season which you can listen to above and see the highlights of below:

  • The Dutchmen have a great mix this season of both local guys and the normal combination of player from top division 1 schools like Ole Miss and Lousiville. The amount of local talent is great though like Evan Fox who has won Freshman of the week 3 times already at Stony Brook. There are players who threw no-hitters already this season so it is a great mix of talent.
  • What a difference a year makes as the full season was canceled last year and the make shift league was good but obviously there was plenty of limitations. There is excitement to get back to normalcy starting June 5th at 5pm at Dutchmen Field.
  • They are still looking for a couple more host families for the out of town kids so if you are interested go to Dutchmenbaseball.com to find all the contact information.
