Everywhere you turn, prices across the Capital Region are spiraling out of control. Gas prices are up, the housing and new car markets are off the charts, and every shipment is delayed exponentially.

Quite the optimist I am, right?

There's a method to my madness, though, I promise. Amidst all of the chaos, I am here to bring a ray of sunshine into the life of you, the Capital Region sports fan.

As has been the case for the last few months, there is an exciting weekend slate of games in the Capital Region this weekend. Coach Carm Maciariello and the Siena Saints are riding high after their weekend sweep over Iona and Rider, and return to the MVP Arena this weekend.

Elsewhere, Coach Dwayne Killings and the UAlbany Great Danes return to the SEFCU Arena as they near the end of their America East schedule, fresh off a win at Binghamton. The Albany FireWolves play their second game in as many nights on Saturday evening back at the MVP Arena, while the Adirondack Thunder host a string of games in the ECHL at the Cool Insuring Arena.

So, whether you like hockey or basketball, let's all take a few hours and forget about the prices of different things around the world. Here are the games happening this weekend, and the cheapest price you can find to get you, and your family, in the door.

Tickets at the MVP Arena go for as low as $7 for Friday night's game against Marist. The seven-dollar tickets will put you in either end zone of the arena, and the prices slowly cascade up as you move toward center court. The most expensive ticket available right now, located directly at center court, is $27.
