New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow completed his first pass as a member of Gang Green on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.  Unfortunately for the Jets, it led to disaster.

Tim Tebow completed his first pass as a member of the New York Jets early in the 2nd quarter against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.  Unfortunately, the completed pass to backup tight end Dedrick Epps resulted in a fumble and a knee injury for the third-year player out of Miami.  Epps will have an MRI on his injured right knee on Monday.

Just to be clear, this was not Tim Tebow's fault whatsoever.  I remember thinking as the play developed that it was a really nicely designed.  49ers safety Dashon Goldson made the correct play by hitting Epps low.  The hit forced Epps to cough up the football.  Carlos Rogers scooped up the ball for the Niners (which was a recurring theme on Sunday at Metlife Stadium).

The 49ers improved to (3-1) with their 34-0 win over the Jets (2-2) on Sunday.  The 49ers will host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at 4:25pm ET.  The Jets will host the Houston Texans (4-0) on Monday Night Football at 8:30pm ET.  Listen to coverage of the game beginning at 7:30pm ET on 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio.
