It looks like the Saratoga Race Track will have a new home on television this summer for its signature races:

From the NYRA Press Release:

With more than 80 hours of live racing coverage, this agreement represents the most extensive horse racing television deal in history. This summer, NYRA broadcasts on FS2 will amount to more programming hours of horse racing than all other television networks in the United States combined. Over the course of the seven-week meet, the programs will cover 40 stakes races.

This is a big move for NYRA and a big move for Saratoga as the ability to watch parts of the 'Toga meet on television on a major network will only enhance the fan experience and help bring attention and attraction to the area.

This deal will also help 'Toga get more well known by racing fans who only pay attention to the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and the Belmont.

The Saratoga season begins on July 22nd.
