UAlbany Arrives at Bye Week in Need of a Break
Greg Gattuso tells us all the time; there are no weeks off in the CAA conference. Not that we aren't inclined to believe the head coach at his word, but the last three weeks have certainly proved it.
On Saturday, UAlbany faced its third straight ranked opponent and after that daunting stretch, the Great Danes are now 1 and 2 in the CAA. There may be no better time for the bye week as UAlbany looks to keep a mini losing skid from gaining any more momentum.
Another crushing overtime loss to Richmond and UAlbany has dropped back to back games. Saturday was a 41-38 double overtime defeat and for a second straight season, may serve as a painful reminder of what could have been should UAlbany miss out on the playoffs again this year. The Danes lost a triple overtime thriller, 36-30, to the Spiders in 2016.
On the other side of the bye, UAlbany hosts home games in consecutive weeks, Maine and then Rhode Island.
