The dream season for the UAlbany Baseball team came to an end on Friday afternoon.

The Great Danes lost the America East Conference Championship game to Maine, 10-1.

It was the third straight championship appearance for the Great Danes.

Pitcher Matt Dybus took the loss for the Great Danes, scattering three hits and issuing four walks in three and two-thirds innings of work. Senior Terry McFadden, in his final appearance in a UAlbany uniform, threw the final inning for the Great Danes, striking out one without allowing a hit.

Stephen Perakslis improved to 6-4 in the win, striking out eight over seven and a thirds innings.

UAlbany wraps up the season with an overall record of 21-31. Maine (32-22), claiming its first America East title since 2006, has earned the league’s automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.
