UAlbany Makes Program History Behind Undercuffler’s 6 TD Passes
A few pieces of UAlbany history were made on Saturday afternoon at Casey Stadium, or as this group of Great Danes players would call it, The Bob.
In the first ever home playoff game in program history, UAlbany's offense labored through most of the first half, but there was a defining moment late in the second quarter that completely flipped momentum.
With 17 seconds left in the first half, Jeff Undercuffler connected with Juwan Green for the game-tying touchdown and it was 7-7 going to the locker room. From that point, the day belonged to the Great Danes.
Undercuffler threw his second TD to Green less than 30 seconds into the second half and the redshirt freshman quarterback was only a third of the way to a career day. The offense erupted for 35 points in the final two quarters and UAlbany finished off the first FCS playoff victory in program history behind six passing touchdowns from Undercuffler.
After the 42-14 win over Central Connecticut State, UAlbany will now travel to Montana State for a 3pm kickoff next Saturday, Dec. 7.
