Unsettled Knicks, Hawks Regression & NBA Finals Scenarios
With the Knicks at another crossroads and another opening at head coach anticipated, in what direction will new team president Leon Rose go?
The NBA season has yet to reach the all-star break and rumors are already circling around Mike Miller and who might replace him. Jeff Van Gundy and Tom Thibodeau are on the rumored short list, but Miller shouldn't be so easily cast aside. Since Miller took over as interim head coach for David Fizdale this season, the Knicks are 13-19.
There is a constant Capital Region eye on the Atlanta Hawks the last two seasons and signs of regression are concerning for this team of young, talented players which includes Kevin Huerter. The Hawks are in contention for worst record in the league despite overachieving last year and being considered by many people in the preseason as a dark horse to make the playoffs.
And finally, if you couldn't choose either of the top teams in the Eastern and Western conferences, the Bucks and Lakers, who would be your pick to reach the Finals?
We discuss all those topics with Ben Cohen from the Wall Street Journal.
