The USMNT got smoked by Argentina last night in the Copa America semifinals. Argentina won the match 4-0 with goals from Ezequiel Levezzi, Lionel Messi, and a pair from Gonzalo Higuain.

"This was the goal when we got here, to play another final, and we made it," Messi said. "We've been spectacular from day one and we deserved this."

Levezzi got the Argentinian's an early lead with his goal in the 3rd minute. Messi added a free kick goal after a foul by Chris Wondolowski. Messi sent the free kick around the American wall and past the outstretched arm of U.S. goalkeeper Brad Guzan in the 32nd minute.

Higuain added his goals in the 50th and 86th minute to put all U.S. hopes at a comeback to an end.

Argentina seemed to have a better player at every position. The Argentinian's had eleven shots on goal, while the U.S. struggled to even maintain possession and did not record a single shot on goal.

17-year-old Christian Pulisic entered the game to start the second half. Pulisic is part of the young talent that Jurgen Klinsmann is trying to bring to the U.S. team.

With the odds greatly against them, the U.S. played a very lackadaisical and disappointing game when they needed to give their 'A+' game.

Argentina now looks to win their first international tournament since the 1993 Copa America. They lost to Chile last year in the finals.
