After a 1-4 start to the season, the ValleyCats have put together a winning streak to climb to .500 for the first in 2019. In an instructional league, winning and losing doesn't carry the same weight as some full season minor league levels but it's still about building that competitive culture within what is now a winning Astros organization.

On Saturday night, Tri-City walked off with a 6-5 victory in 11 innings against the Vermont Lake Monsters for the Cats' third straight win and first series win of the season. On Sunday, manager Ozney Guillen and his squad will look for the first sweep.

This summer's ValleyCats roster is highlighted by 2019 first round pick Korey Lee, a 20-year old catcher from Cal. Lee is hitting .350 through six games while hitting in the middle of the lineup.

Tri-City will hit the road for three games at Lowell in the middle of the week before returning home to host Aberdeen over the weekend.
