This weekend, someone with a lucky ticket could be joining the exclusive billionaires club if they win the Mega Millions jackpot on Friday night. The winning ticket would take home (well, before taxes of course ) $1.28 billion - the second-largest jackpot in Mega Million’s history and the third-largest prize in US lottery history. It’s a longshot of course, with the odds of winning the Mega Millions sitting at approximately 1 in 303 million.

We can think of a billion things to buy if you’ve won a billion dollars. You could pay off your debt, your family and friends’ debt - even the debt of strangers. You could pay off your mortgage or buy a mansion. You could buy a fleet of luxury vehicles and drive a different one every day for a year.
