Garrett Whitley, the No. 13 overall draft pick in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft, made his first trip to the Capital Region as a professional this weekend, playing a three-game set against the Tri-City ValleyCats as a member of the Hudson Valley Renegades.

Whitley played well in the series as well, getting two hits in Saturday's opener before registering two hits in a doubleheader. Sunday's game was postponed so the two teams played two on Monday, with the Renegades winning both.

We caught up with the Niskayuna grad on 'Big Board Sports' prior to Monday's games and asked him his return home, if he feels pressure to live up to his No. 13 draft pick, if he's relieved to see this hyped-weekend end and much more.
