Willie Randolph Honored At Yankees Old Timers Day
Ceremonies will begin at 4pm today with the 69th annual Yankees Old Timers day game to follow shortly. A special treat today as the pregame ceremonies will honor Yankees legend Willie Randolph.
Former Yankees Co-Captain Willie Randolph will receive a plaque in Monument Park. Randolph played 13 seasons for the Yankees from 1976-88. He's five-time American League All-Star (1976-77, ’80-81 and ’87) played in 37 postseason games with the Yankees from 1976-81, winning the 1977 and 1978 World Series. He also spent 11 seasons coaching for the organization, serving as the club’s third base coach from 1994-2003 and bench coach in 2004, earning four additional World Series rings (1996, ‘98-2000).
