Yankees To Play White Sox On The Field Of Dreams

On August 13th 2020 the Chicago White Sox will host the New York Yankees on a corn field in Iowa. THE corn field in Iowa. The field where they filmed the movie "Field of Dreams will be built up for a real MLB game next season.

"As a sport that is proud of its history linking generations, Major League Baseball is excited to bring a regular-season game to the site of Field of Dreams," commissioner Rob Manfred said in a statement. "We look forward to celebrating the movie's enduring message of how baseball brings people together at this special cornfield in Iowa."

The field will be able to host about 8,000 fans. The game which will be on a Thursday will count as a White Sox home game. The teams will have an off day that Friday then head to Chicago to play the remaining two games of the series over the weekend.
