Announcer Makes WWF Reference During Canisius Buzzer Beater [VIDEO]

The Siena women’s basketball team lost in heartbreaking fashion as Canisius hit a half court buzzer beater.  At least the play-by-play call was epic.

Canisius play-by-play commentator Mike Scott made an epic call during a Siena vs. Canisius women’s basketball game.  Tiahana Mills hit a half court shot at the buzzer to give Canisius a 65-62 win.  Mike Scott channeled his inner WWF and borrowed a quote from the New Age Outlaws.  Scott yelled, “Oh, you didn’t know, you’d better call somebody!!”

The reference will make any wrestling fan laugh and say, “That’s awesome!”  It’s a tough way for the ladies from Siena in Albany, NY to lose a basketball game, but at least they were part of an epic play-by-play call that refers to WWF wrestling.  That’s gotta take a tiny bit of the sting away from losing, right?  Probably not.  I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that the team isn’t comprised of multiple New Age Outlaws fans.  Check out their former theme song below.
