There is no getting around the fact that it has been a rough season for the Siena men's basketball team.  They are currently 4-25 overall and 3-15 in the MAAC Conference which is last place.  Coach Carm has repeatedly apologized to fans and his job is safe next season according to Athletic Director John D'Argenio and I know Coach Carm is a good coach.  He just got really hurt unfortunately by the transfer portal as most coaches did and he lost a lot of guys to injuries plus they were the third youngest team in the entire nation this season.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

Despite a tough season for the Siena men’s basketball team, it’s nice to see Shenendehowa grad Mason Courtney in the starting lineup and making the most of the situation. Courtney is a preferred walk-on who works hard and this season it’s all paid off. Not sure how many minutes he will get next season but right now that doesn’t matter. He’s stepped up when other players have not, and has some impressive performance. He’s got a bright future one way or another.

MJ and I had on Coach Carm on Thursday afternoon as we always do every Thursday all season long right here on Big Board Sports on 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio.  Below is our full interview with him enjoy!

I hope Siena finishes the season very strong and maybe even wins a game in Atlantic City for the conference tournament in the MAAC.  Coach Carm is a good coach and the Siena faithful need to stay patient as next year they will be very good and competitive again.
