What in the world of Buddy Ryan vs. Kevin Gilbride is going on here?  The Arizona Wildcats started fighting each other on the sideline during the New Mexico Bowl.

How crazy is this scene?  Nose tackle Tevin Hood (#98) and linebacker Cody Ippolito (#57) threw haymakers at each other at the end of the 1st quarter on Saturday.  Fortunately, both players stink at boxing and failed to land any of their punches.  The scene could’ve been much worse and way more embarrassing for Arizona.

Arizona battled back from big deficits to win the New Mexico Bowl against Nevada 49-48.  Nevada jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead.  Arizona fought back to tie the game 28-28, yet trailed 48-35 with 1:48 remaining after a 25-yard field goal by Allen Hardison.

Quarterback Matt Scott threw a two-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Austin Hill with :46 remaining to cut Nevada’s lead to 48-42.  Arizona recovered the onside kick.  With :19 left, Matt Scott threw another two-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tyler Slavin.  Arizona pulled out an improbable 49-48 win over the Wolf Pack to start the bowl season off in style.
